The month arrived in typical Seattle fashion: we got snow on the first day (which by itself would be unusual), but then the temperature jumped 20 degrees over the next two days and now we're hit with heavy rain that has already flooded one building on campus. Oh, Washington

Weeee! Parts of Bothell are flooding up here. My dad sent me a picture from his place, and his patio area is a literal pond. Crazy.

I'm home today. I got hit by a severe bout of insomnia, leading to 2 hours of sleep and I didn't feel safe to be on the roads (or awake enough to actually do anything like work), until I finally got another three between 7-11am. Yeah. I was up all night.

I'm too old for this.

I've seen pictures of parts of Seattle that sound like that. I think my house is in an okay area, though. We'll see when I get home - fingers crossed!
