We've had a very busy week with my sports-mad son, Mitchell, who seems to be in every representative team going at school plus club rugby and now, representative rugby on the weekends ( Read more... )

Very addictive viewing - was I the only one watching this season saying out loud and shaking my head 'Bill, Bill, BILL... WHAT do you think you are doing?'

I have to agree with the show being very addictive. S3 just finished here last Sunday and it was another good season!

Bill...it seems like every time Bill turns around there is another fire for him to put out.

I am downloading S3 eps of BL but haven't had a chance to watch any as yet - but by the way everyone is talking about this season I'm going to make time and SOON!

I think any man who reckons having more than one wife would be a good thing, should watch this show; I think he might change his tune, lol. :)

LOL - that's a great idea. Not all the fun that they would think it would be.

My theory is that he will be so busy playing sport and keeping up with his schoolwork, he won't have the time or energy to get into any trouble!

That's my theory, too!

OMG, I am deep in Big Love viewing. Like you, I finished S2 and frantically downloaded S3. Now I'm on 3.08, and trust me, this season is AMAZING. I've been speechless at the end of more than a few eps so far. And Bill in S2, YES...eating his cake and having it too. Sometimes I really dislike him.

And Dexter! Smits was incredible. It took me a while to appreciate him as an actor and what he was doing with that character, but by the end of the season, my heart was pounding whenever he was on-screen.

Catch up with LB...I'm still behind and trying to catch up too!

Bill annoys the CRAP out of me sometimes -- and that's full credit to the actor, Bill Paxton, because I LOVE him - but Bill Henrickson can be a selfish arse at times, especially when he tries to justify his actions by claiming he's living 'The Principle' way.

Dexter was awesome - had me on the edge of my seat all the way through, especially with Jimmy/Miguel - I've watched JS since his LA Law days, and he totally brought something special to this season's Dexter. Riveting performance, just amazing.

Hopefully, the boys sport and school schedules will allow me to catch more BL soon! I need me some BL icons, too!

God, after reading all the raves about S3 Big Love, I'm desperate to watch now! LOL.

Busy boys are still busy - biggest one is stressed with work (ugh!), Nick is just happy to BE at work, and youngest two are hanging out for school holidays which are only 2 weeks away. *sigh*

Holidays again?! I love the school system in Australia! I wish they would adopt something more like it here, breaking up the school year into shorter chunks with time off in between. Good for the kids, good for their brains and good for family, dontcha think? (except of course if you have to pay for daycare in which case I can see it being a little inconvenient).

I'm off to find some BL icons now!

I think season three of Big Love is even better, but Bill doesn't become any less of a manipulative hypocrite. I just can't get behind that guy, but I think it's probably realistic since any man who chooses to live in polygamy has to be deeply misogynistic, which is what's at the root of my dislike for Bill. It does add an interesting texture to the show for me, not liking the protagonist, especially since I love all of the wives and think each is way too good for him.

Oh, I hear ya, baby - Bill is VERY manipulative, in a 'I'm leading my family into eternity by living The Principle' kind of way -- it's such a hard concept to imagine, isn't it? For a woman, it would have many sacrifices -- doesn't seem like the blokes sacrifice much.

And I love all the wives too -- especially Margene, I can't help loving her - she's so sparkly and shiny and deserves so much more than what she gets as Wife No 3.

ZOMG, DEXTER. Great, wasn't it? How was it with the Dexter-Miguel showdown. it was quite awful, but the way he killed that lady lawyer was hideous - he really did become quite a monster, didn't he.

MCH and JS were amazing. I thought the whole season's comment on Dexter and friendships was sad, really. What think you of Rita now? Im still a bit 'meh'

See Amy's icon *points up*. Did you like that 'Mr Handsome' thing with the kids in the car. I thought that was pretty gorgeous. *pinches him*

Okay hon, better do 'something' than play on LJ (although it is the best fun) Glad Mitch is busy and hope you are all keeping well. Holidays next week for kids : / lol

GAH! Dexter/Miguel showdown was unreal - I was literally glued to my laptop screen -- such amazing stuff!

It was a little sad with the kind of revelation - Dex can't have friends in the share-everything-with-them sense because then he is vulnerable - and as a serial killer, that's something he definitely can't afford.

But he does have all his mates in the department -- and they are all fabulous! Not to mention Deb as well -- can't help but love her and her non-censoring mouth, lol.

I'm a little meh still about Rita - maybe that will change next season? When she's not pregnant and organising weddings? IDK. Loved the 'Mr Handsome' in the car with the kids - he's so fabulous with them and my heart always beats a little faster when he does that. *g*

Kids aren't on hols until April 9 - I think we must be a week behind you guys. Boys can't wait... me, ah not so much. LOL.

Hopefully we can chat before then.

Love lots,

xxx
