Mitch brought home yet another orange card today. The teacher who issued it said she didn't believe Mitch's protestations that he wasn't the one who'd done the misdeed. He'd been seen in the playground near this kid and that was good enough for her ( Read more... )

In junior baseball here they operate under the 'mercy' rule, which says if the batting side scores 7 players across the homeplate, they are then dismissed, regardless of whether their opposition has gained 3 outs or not. Due to their age and skill, this keeps the playing field as level as possible.

So how's this for a judgment call?
