It's the simple things, you know?

Hey flist. I'm in a great mood right now due to a few things: first, I have a glass of an incredibly delicious South Australian Shiraz in my hand; my eldest two boys are off riding their push bikes TOGETHER, hanging out and having some fun, something that hasn't happened around here for, OMG, I can't tell you how long; and three, I got an email from my little brother, WITH photos. *g*

These wonderful happenings have me grinning like an idiot and feeling very content with my lot. Well, today anyway. LOL. But I gotta say, it makes a nice change after enduring some crappy RL stuff during most of August and part of September. :(

Nick has moved back home after being away for a few months -- he's changed a lot and for the better, God knows it was about time! - it's been nice seeing the new and improved version. We may have reached the other side at last!

My brother, JT, sent some of the most ridiculously photogenic pictures of him and his two favourite girls that I've ever seen. I mean, seriously. They are so GORGEOUS, and I'm not just saying that because we're related. My mother was staying with them for a visit recently and so they took the opportunity to have a 'Champagne Naming Ceremony' for the sweet wee Marlo. They all flew up to a local Queenstown hilltop in a helicopter (courtesy of a friend) and toasted the girl of the moment with a very special bottle of bubbly. You're gonna die of the cute, I'm warning you.

See what you think:

The happy parents and wee Marlo. I find myself getting a little choked up when I look at this picture - I don't think I have EVER seen my brother looking so content. *g*

Mother, son and grand daughter. Don't you just LOVE Marlo's chubby cheeks? I could eat them. :o)

The whole gang - the other two people at the far right are Jess's parents, Glenda and Graham, and the other lady on the left is a friend of theirs, along with her own son. Marlo is wearing our family's christening gown - it's about 130 years old and has been worn by most of my family through the years, including me and all my boys. Man, I wish I could have been there. *sigh*

happy is good, my brother, mitchell, mum, nick
