Quick question..

Is anyone on my flist watching Sister Wives? It's like Big Love except it's for REAL. The story of the Brown family - there's a husband with three wives and 13 children, a new wife on the way, not to mention another baby - is an interesting one, especially when you know from the outset that this is not something a writer has dreamt up for our entertainment; it's a family's actual way of life.

I decided to watch the first ep and bloody hell, wouldn't you know it, I've become a little bit fascinated with the whole thing. *g* There is a slight cheesiness about it but it's not sufficient enough to stop you watching. The husband in question, Kody, seems like an ever-smiling big kid a lot of the time but I gotta tell ya, it's the WIVES who have captured my attention. I can't help but like them!

While I can't imagine living their lifestyle for one second, I have to admit there are certain aspects of it that I couldn't help but think "Jeez, that'd be nice." Plenty of live-in babysitters, other people to cook and clean, the support network you'd get from your 'sisters'.

I've read the authorities are apparently 'investigating' Kody for possible bigamy charges but it also said they rarely prosecute unless there are other criminal issues such as child endangerment or welfare fraud as well.

Any thoughts?
