Author's Note: Thanks for your patience while I rested my brain on the banks of the Saint Vrain River. I think I'm ok for a while, but this is, officially, a storyette, and there will be more chapters of it later on, between other stuff. For now, the AKL boys have gotten busy again, so I'm off to Memphis to see what they're up to. That should be up

Thank you! I like this Ennis too, he's more assertive, but still shy and unsure of himself too. I want to keep him canon-like, but up to date with how I think that Ennis might be today, still nervous and worried, but more willing to take a chance.

Oh, how I wish I had air conditioning here. I guess I'll have to belly up to the fans to cool down after that chapter! Whew!

I liked how Ennis made the first move in the tent during the night. And Jack didn't fight him. It was only a matter of time before nature would take its course between them. Thank Goodness!

I am looking forward to what the morning will bring for them.

Sorry to add to your heat wave! I'm glad you are enjoying this story. Yes, Ennis is unsure about a lot of things, but not about what he wants, and he certainly didn't let Jack down at all this night.

What will they do once they leave the mountain??? Hmmm.... I'm thinking go back to their humdrum lives, fight with their wives, be more dissatisfied than ever before, struggle to keep their hands off each other, and basically stew about the bitch of an unsatisfactory situation they are in. And maybe try to do something about it. Who knows? Thanks for reading. More on down the line a ways. S!
