snow, books, music: pleasures manifold

I do hate slogging through it, but snow is so pretty. We got a couple of fluffy inches of it blanketing everything and it softens the world and makes bare branches look stark and elegant.

Of course, getting it off your car is a royal pain.

Thank you for mentioning John Fullbright - I had a listen on youtube and now his album is on my amazon wishlist. I am also thoroughly enjoying Tanith Lee's "A Bed of Earth". It seems you are a reliable source of recs.

Oh, excellent! I'm so glad you're enjoying his stuff. I hope he keeps putting out great music, I'll be interested to see what he does with the rest of his career since he's a really young guy.

Yay, Tanith Lee! She really should get more love - I feel like most people just know her for that YA unicorn series she did. And maybe that Snow White..or was it Red Riding Hood...retelling? Will have to go look.

Oh, if you're falling into the Fulbright love, do check in with vickita -- she's been listening to him and cheering him on and working with him and the musicians around him for years now. She has some great photos and video that she's shot (professional level); it's always fun to see who she's seen and shot. She says to just leave a note on the friends-only post so she knows where you're coming from.
