Summary: After a sparring session with Okita that resulted in injuries and reiatsu depeletion, Gintoki asked for Zura Katsura's help in helping him back to his room. A long-awaited discussion between the old duo commences.
Rating: PG-13, for Gintamaness and some swearing. Now plus angst and some at lot of drama.
Gintoki was still lying on the earth, bruised and worn and battered. Well, darnit - Okita sure had quite a hand when he played it right... the duo had been sparring, mainly due to settling a grudge and wanting answers after an accident with Okita's blue fox kit, Tyke. Neither of them had emerged as the victor, though both had received quite a number of injuries.
The kid had, at least, managed to bring himself back to his room, unlike Gintoki who was still stuck outside, unable to move due to reiatsu depletion. His entire body was numb, unable to move and completely worn out. Gintoki guessed it served him right to use shunpo on such a small amount of reiatsu left.
The skies were a bright blue, the clouds floating by lazily as the sun washed its warm rays upon Gintoki's face. The man sighed as he waited for his long-time companion to come.
"Hurry up now, Zura..."
