With the most recent curse floating about, it probably wasn't the best idea to meet up with someone to fight, but Gintoki had made a rather tantalizing offer. After Jushirou had told him that something was "off" about Tyke, Okita had been wondering just what it was that Gintoki had done to his pet. The little fox was one of Kite's pseudo-family members and Okita had been entrusted with his care. He wasn't one to take responsibilities lightly and if Tyke had been killed, then Gintoki was going to pay for it.
With that in mind, Okita had a deceptively pleasant smile on his face as he came down the apartment stairs. He brushed his hair up into a ponytail and tied it tightly with a bit of white ribbon. His white kimono with purple accents was again offset by the orange hakama. He didn't much care for the color so long as they were functional, and the hakama had proven themselves the last time he'd sparred.
Speaking of which, his lungs still weren't up to par, but at least the other wounds were healing nicely. He'd just have to be careful not to do anything too severe and open them up again.
Okita emerged into the sunlight and looked around. Gintoki wasn't here yet, so he took a few practice swings with his shinai and waited.
