All the panels are together, so now I am sewing in the boning channels. The pattern for this corset is not a direct copy of any particular Victorian corset, and instead I am drawing inspiration from several different corsets. To my great honor and joy, I am now the official corsetter for Bustledress.com, marketplace for womens' Victorian fashions, both authentic and modern-made. The examples are nothing stellar just yet, but more authentically Victorian designs are in the works in the coming months.

Color me tickled!

I finished a corset commission I started before Christmas, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's a Victorian underbust corset, with white satin cover material and black satin ribbon decorations.

Yesterday I finished the Victorian overbust corset I was making for myself, and today I took some photos so I could show the finished product. I have finished assembling the lining and the cover of the corset and uploaded the pictures. This will be the last update for a while, as one of my friends wants to embroider the cover.
