Yes, I'll cut this to protect those who haven't seen the SG-1 ep, "The Pegasus Project". Please understand that there *will* be spoilers in the comments.
It made my multi-shipper heart so happy! And so wanting to write fic! *sigh*
I do think they could start easing into the Sam and Vala thing by just taking one or two lines from Daniel or Cam in their interations with Vala or Sam and giving them to the other woman. I'm starting to get a little nervous now about the way they're kind of ignoring the casual interaction bewteen them. I'm not sure how well it bodes. But maybe we'll get an ep later where it's all Sam and Vala and they spring it on us all at once. And then maybe they'll have more of an idea how to write them toether casually. :P
I suspect Sam and Vala totally whisper between themselves when the guys' backs are turned. Then Cam or Daniel turns around and Sam and Vala put on their blank, innocent faces and say, "What?"
Teal'c, with his super-crazy Jaffa hearing just raises an eyebrow and looks smug.
Okay... they haven't actually filmed that yet, but...
Basically, I think this is one of the best eps in a long, long time. I'm very happy...
I so totally agree! After the first two eps that were really 'meh' for me, I went into this ep expecting nothing. I also didn't realize that this was the crossover ep. (From the previews it looked like they were doing an 'on the way to Atlantis we ran into some trouble' episode) But two minutes into the episode I was in Stargate heaven.
Yes, they did do a good job with acknowledgement of the ships. The briefing room scene was great. LOL!
I saw the Sam/Cam dynamic, too. It's not really shippy per se, but there's something there. I do notice her calling him Cam more. *g*
I wanted a scene when Daniel was told he would be going to Atlantis. I wanted to see the excitement on his face. The writers totally dropped the ball. In fact, there could have been tons of scenes before they could have done instead of jumping right into the whole team on the Odyssey.
