It was kind of weird. Neither of us had ever spent that long with one person. There was an on again, off again element to it too, so we were both surprised when one day we found that we'd been together for that long.
Probably because I don't talk about it much. But the EC major was pretty cool because I had to take a lot of different classes to get it. Anthropology, archeology, biology, yadda. Not good for much, though :)
I started in Borzoi (Russian Wolfhounds) soon after I graduated University. Huge, hairy sighthounds. There are some pics in my gallery
Then I got involved with Sloughis, a rare, Middle Eastern sighthound breed and picked up a Saluki (closely related, though different, from the Sloughi) in Italy.
For years, I lived with a minimum of 4-6 big dogs, not including the Ex's Vizslas. Now there's just New-old Dog, the Ex's last Vizsla. He's about the equivalent of a 90-year-old man these days, but seems to be going strong.

Oh, cool. How did I not know that?
And, yeah, I wouldn't use "soft-spoken" to define you.

I was also a field trial judge for a number of years and got to travel to Italy for their premiere coursing event. That was incredible!
