Six random things about me, courtesy of zats_clear. I know, it's been a few days.
1) I spent almost 20 years in the dog show game. Yes, it is much like Best In Show. In fact, I knew a number of the dogs in that film. Note that I said dogs, not people.
2) While I work as an accountant, my Bachelors degree is in Environmental Conservation and Geography.
3) A few years ago, I took a break from normal life and spent a year driving an airport shuttle van. Like Super Shuttle, but a different company. Interesting times. Tough way to make a living, especially for a woman. I don't regret it for a moment. I had a LOT of time to work on my writing and wrote in notebooks.
4) My first online fandom was Due South, though I'd been reading X Files fanfic for some time before that, but never really participated in the fandom.
5) Related to that, my very first fan experience was a kind of screenwriting seminar called X-seminar, held at the Roosevelt Hotel in downtown Hollywood. Met some awesome women there, but we've long since lost touch. It was a very chaotic time in my life and not in the good way. It was really odd that I ended up going to that, since I didn't write at the time.
6) I spent 10 years in a fairly committed relationship. Then mid-life hit him. He broke up with me (which was for the best, really), went kind of nuts (maybe he went nuts first. Who knows?), got married, got divorced and now lives in the Caribbean, attending a semi-hinky veterinary college. See? Told you it was for the best.
