This happened near where I grew up, well over a decade ago. It was at an ice cream and hot dog stop. Little old lady stepped on the gas while in Drive, when she was supposed to be backing up to get out of the place. She didn't press gently, she revved into it... broke the canopy over the front to splinters.
Let's just say, in your place's cases, I'm glad no-one was injured... by the sounds of it.
No one was hurt. But I am told that this store had yet another car incident five years ago. Someone hit the corner of the store backing up with a truck. Coffee and Donut places get all kinds.
