Last year, I was all excited about going to PowerMorphicon, but now that registration is open and memberships are available for purchase... I'm not sure anymore. I really, really wanna meet Matt Austin and Chris Violette in person, but I have to weigh that against the costs. I'd need to pay for a registration, a hotel room, food, and a plane ticket ( Read more... )

This sounds awfully familiar to when I fell out of love with FFVII and some of my other favourite old school series. It just happens sometimes. :\

*hugs*

Yeah, it does. *snugs* I felt the same way when I got to the 7th Harry Potter book and realized the series just didn't excite me the way it used to.

:(

It always sucks when you realize you're falling out of love with a show that you've loved for so long. A Firefly con would be awesome though.

*curls up in your lap*

It does suck, but I bet in a few years I'll come back around and fall in love all over again. *g*

Man, I'd love to go to a Firefly con. I'll have to research and see if there are any in this half of the country.

I think most of us probably understand why, and most of us don't fault you for it either. Moving on is natural, no matter how much it hurts. But I'd far rather you enjoy the new things you love than force yourself to spend time with the old things that don't matter as much anymore.

Also, god, it didn't hit me how expensive a trip to CA was until I started trying to save up for PMC 2010. D: I'm definitely more excited about saving up for my own apartment than that, now.

:)

I just think it'd pretty sucky for me to take up a spot at the con when there are others who really wanna be there, too, you know? Moving on is definitely natural, and I'd have a far better time at Castlecon or a Browncoat con.

Yeah. D: I'm willing to bet that for me, the plane ticket alone would be at least one paychecks' worth of money. I do have a goodly amount saved up, but blowing it all on one con is so wasteful.
