So... for my
OT3_100 table, I thought it would be fun to figure out how they became a threesome in the first place... so... here is the beginning. I have a feeling this could potentially become a very long drabble set. xD

Summary: WW2. Canada manages to make it to the Pacific theater in order to meet up with America, little does he realize that there is someone else waiting for him too.
Future
Canada couldn't deny sometimes he had been worried about their future together. He could remember the feeling of relief when he had found them both alive, although not necessarily well, on the battlefield in the Pacific. England hadn't wanted to let him go, America already not being present on the battlefield was a blow, and he didn't want to lose Canada. It had taken a confession of feelings for America, England's eyes widening in surprise, that had gotten him permission to go. Canada had been frightened by his own feelings when he told England that people he loved more than anything were there and he needed to see them. England told him to go, but make it back when he could. The back to back flights had been exhausting and long, and he had panicked when he found them asleep in a tent, America with his head on Australia's chest, possessive arms wrapped protectively around each other.
Canada couldn't stop his feet from walking across the room and kneeling down at the side of the cot that they had managed to fit their bodies into. He had reached out tentatively to run his fingers through America's hair. His southern neighbor stirred and looked at him in surprise. America had whispered his name before drawing him close for a kiss, Australia waking due to their movement and reaching out to touch him as well. It had been a beginning. Even though it felt pretend.
Daring
He never would have thought that he could have folded a third person into what he shared with America. He couldn't even consider the thought, it felt too unreal, too pretend. Canada had always considered it just them, Australia the odd little brother that England had brought into their house one day, England's awkward replacement for America. He had felt a twinge of jealousy when he saw them locked in an embrace, catching some sleep when and where they could. The kiss he gave America was possessive, wanting Australia to see who was with America and was surprised when Australia reached out to touch him. He pulled away from America and looked at the younger man. Australia had touched his hair softly.
"Thank you for coming Matt. I've been waiting for you to show up." He leaned up and pressed his face to the side of Canada's head. Canada had stilled, it was familiar, Australia would nuzzle him like that when he was younger, but it did not have the innocent it had held when he was a child and Canada a lanky teen. It was a daring move when Australia moved to kiss the corner of his mouth. It hadn't seemed real.
Panic
Canada had backed away fast. He put the back of his hand to his mouth and looked at America in bewilderment. He looked torn, between staying on the cot with Australia and moving towards the floor to be with Canada. Canada knew that America was missing him. He felt it in the kiss. That hadn't been faked, hadn't been pretend. The look in his eyes was genuine, Canada wanted to be beside him, but there was something odd about the way that Australia had his arm wrapped around America. He panicked, had things changed?
"America..." he said, his mind searching for the right words. He denied it to himself, America had kissed him back, there was no way he would choose Australia over him.
"Canada, it's not what you think." America said, shifting so that Australia could climb off the cot. He sat down beside Canada.
"He loves you..." Australia said, as he reached out to touch Canada again, "The thing is... I've been waiting for you to show up for a while now, mate. I need you two." Canada wasn't sure that he had heard correctly.
