"Unfair and admirable." Great quote. I thought that quite a few times as the mountain goats flew by. One of my favorite part of these runs is that even though I'm just plodding along, I'm also allowed to spectate the heroic races going on at the same time. We're pretty lucky.

Excellent race report! I see now I must be very careful with any future pre-race direction to you, as you take it very seriously. No "break-a-leg" wishes for you! So glad I gave you something positive to dwell on, even in those slightly less enjoyable moments!

Now for ERDu!

Loved reading your report, Amy! And thank you for putting in all the awesome photos; it's a race report I wish I had written (especially with that finishing time).

I agree that it's harder than Bandera, but I wondered how much of that perception was simply due to knowing Bandera like the back of my hand. I did tell Joe that I called him a son of a bitch at least once--that was on the fence hill. It was hilarious how many people had talked about "the monster hill" and I kept wondering, "Is this the monster hill?" only to remind myself that, if you have to ask, it is, by definition, NOT the monster hill. When I hit the fence line hill, I quit asking myself because I knew THAT was, indeed, the monster hill.

You were brave to take on the 50K sight unseen. Congrats on a great run!
