May 30, 2006 00:00

I've been wanting to do all sorts of posts on different stuff and it keeps getting postponed on and on and so argh! *throws up hands* I'll just do a bit of everything here in one post. Potpourri of Shriney madness for you to make of what you will!

Firstly, I finally saw Jarhead! Yes, I know, I've even had it in my possession for awhile now, but it ( Read more... )

Oh yes, the lust scene between Wolverine and Jean, there could have been more and I wouldn't have minded at all!
I agree wiht a lot of what you said.
And I do adore Famke, she is so gorgeous and stunning and can express so much so simply.
And Hugh, GAH! He can sing, dance, be a good husband, a hero, romantic, old-fashioned and animalistic.
He's almost too perfect.

Hugh is just divine, isn't he? I just saw him on Conan's show and he was so sweet and funny and articulate and hell..normal. Reminds me of Eric Bana that way, they seem like devoted hubbies and good guys. *hearts* And damn sexy, too...rawrrr! :P

I've loved Famke since GoldenEye...she is so talented and beautiful and kicks ass in a fabulously feminine way. She rocks! *G*

More Wolvie/Jean was needed--if more women had been involved in making this film it would have happened...hee!

I love your icon! :P

I love your rambles.

Lucky you, having such warm weather. In my little corner of the world, we have had the coldest average May nights for 108 years. And the coldest days on average for the last 27 years. Of course, our winters are mild compared to Northern Hemisphere, but it's cold *is wuss*.

I have to say, please don't stone me, but I just can't see the appeal of Jake. Maybe I need to perve on his naked arse some more ;P

I'm going to watch X3 tomorrow (hopefully). I'm looking forward to it (not expecting anything more than some fun, and basically wanting to see lots of Wolverine *G* I like Rogue, pity there's not much of her).

And Jarhead! I so need to see that film! Jake is luscious, and yes, he doesn't mind getting his kit off *G*

You're going into X3 with the right attitude--there is some great stuff in it and Wolvie is awesome so you should hopefully enjoy yourself!

Definitely Jarhead is worth seeing, especially with the Jake nekkidness...heee! Lots of good stuff in there, cinematically and lustwise... :P

And Storm should have been played by Angela Bassett, damn it (but I've been growling that since the first movie.)

i've been saying this for years!!

delayed response, i know, but i just had to say this:
after seeing "what's love got to do with it" and "strange days",
i think angela is so badass, whereas halle just isn't.

Hee! I think it's great your parents liked the Panic! stuff...I had it on in my car a few weeks ago while driving my Dad to the mall and his response was "what is this crap??? Why don't you listen to real music?" Yeah yeah, blah blah blah...

Heee...yeah, I'm lucky, my parents aren't too bad about music stuff--actually they listen to more modern music than my hubby does...heh. :P

Dad didn't care for The Strokes and like your dad, thinks a lot of new stuff is "crap" so I was a little surprised they went for Panic! I think it's prolly 'cause P!ATD does have a bit of a dance/80s flavor to their stuff which is of course why I like it too. And Brendon does have a good voice, which I know my dad appreciates.

What does your dad consider "real music", if I may ask? Is he in the classic rock category or more mellow stuff?

Haha, good question... He loves Cream and Pink Floyd, anyone with that type of sound. Most of the stuff he likes I've never heard of, I swear if the people were on drugs when they wrote it, he'll probably love it :P He's just really into trippy, hard stuff.

LOL...I know, hubby likes some of that stuff, too, and I always feel like I need to light something up in order to listen to it. Agh.

And it's weird, because a lot of times I can hear the influences of that music in modern stuff, but the modern stuff doesn't bother me. I guess maybe it's got more substance and less substance abuse...hee!
