Hee! I think it's great your parents liked the Panic! stuff...I had it on in my car a few weeks ago while driving my Dad to the mall and his response was "what is this crap??? Why don't you listen to real music?" Yeah yeah, blah blah blah...

Heee...yeah, I'm lucky, my parents aren't too bad about music stuff--actually they listen to more modern music than my hubby does...heh. :P

Dad didn't care for The Strokes and like your dad, thinks a lot of new stuff is "crap" so I was a little surprised they went for Panic! I think it's prolly 'cause P!ATD does have a bit of a dance/80s flavor to their stuff which is of course why I like it too. And Brendon does have a good voice, which I know my dad appreciates.

What does your dad consider "real music", if I may ask? Is he in the classic rock category or more mellow stuff?

Haha, good question... He loves Cream and Pink Floyd, anyone with that type of sound. Most of the stuff he likes I've never heard of, I swear if the people were on drugs when they wrote it, he'll probably love it :P He's just really into trippy, hard stuff.

LOL...I know, hubby likes some of that stuff, too, and I always feel like I need to light something up in order to listen to it. Agh.

And it's weird, because a lot of times I can hear the influences of that music in modern stuff, but the modern stuff doesn't bother me. I guess maybe it's got more substance and less substance abuse...hee!

OMG, and I just saw X3 myself today, and what you said about Hugh's incredibly resilient pants? I was sitting there PRAYING they'd fly off his ass, but nooooo. Can't do that :P Flesh flys off, but not his SKIN TIGHT pants. Stupid director, show us Hugh's ass!!!! :D

LOL! I know, I guess with the PG-13 rating they couldn't do it but it seems insane, doesn't it? We can show FLESH flying off, but not clothes??

Maybe it was really more for the men in the audience, so they wouldn't have to think about flesh flying from *certain* areas...*cringes* Eep!

Show us some ass, man!! *shakes fist*
