You're right on all fronts actually; I wasn't using the LJ so it seemed wasteful to leave it there, I don't write Lotrips or RPS anymore and I shifted fandoms so...
But I'm still around and lurking. ;)

It isn't wasteful at all to have your LJ there! Some of us still like to poke around in the archives--I stil have a memory link to your *first* LJ! *cries*
And even if you switch fandoms, a lot of times people will switch with you...you never know!

But I tell ya, I'm simply amazed that anyone even noticed I'd deleted! LOL Don't mean that in the 'look at me' sense, only in that I'd not used it for so long I didn't think it'd even register with people on my [former] flist.

It would be very kind and lovely if you could manage to archive the fics and all when you get a chance. Definitely do please let me know if you are able to do that! Bummer about the web site...grrr.

By the way, I don't KNOW Jodie Foster is the villian in that movie we were discussing seeing on Sunday..I just think I know, because the commercials gave her the evil smile shot. It's a slightly crooked shot, with the background in a weird focus and slightly slow mo where the character gives this smug smirk to the camera. Usually done as a flashback for the hero, who realises he's been set up.

Jodie also could be the red herring...they lure you into thinking she's pure evil and then it turns out to be some nice fluffy old guy character who you thought was perfect.
I'm gonna suggest you call my hubby on his cell about Sunday. You can exchange manly grunts and figure it all out. I will just slip back into my happy world of porn writing...

It's not just fandom and slash for me, I'm addicted to tons of communities and lots of non-fandom friends. It's really nice to have friends who aren't into fandom because I know excactly what you mean about people drifting apart :(
Thankfully I've made some good friends that I even hope to meet in real-life some day. I think my husband thinks I'm turning into a lesbian after some of the stuff his read. Aiieee! *G*

I understand about the shifting fandom thing. I never thought I'd see the day when I didn't read a new VigBean story. But since I've fallen head over heels in love with Jayne and Firefly slash, I find myself skipping over a lot of pretty Sean and Viggo fics, though I still read my favorite authors in the fandom.
Go. Look at pretty men. It will make you feel better.
