I probably should try to find some non-fandom communities to play around in, too. That is part of the problem. I think maybe only three people on my flist are non-fandom/slash peeps, so I ride a lot of waves of fandom drama and it gets to be a little too much after awhile! And then people move on and leave me in the dust...*sniff*
Meeting people from an online messageboard actually *did* turn me into a lesbian for awhile there, so be careful! *snerk* Really, though, that was one of the things that really got me about LJ--I don't have many girl friends in RL, because I'm too weird for Midwest suburbia, apparently--so it was so cool to come on here and meet lots of great crazy cool ladies that had the same interests as me. Girl bonding is totally necessary to a happy life. :)
