Isn't the piccie beautiful? I just love it...and David Edelstein is no softie, either, so for him to say such kind words carries a lot of weight to me.

No rush on reply, hon', I know you're busy, but I just wanted to check that you got my email? I know some times in the past you weren't getting some of them, and I'm ready to smite the email accounts if I have to. *G*

I did get your e-mails, darlin', and I'm going to reply this weekend before anything else happens. Life has been extraordinarily stupid lately. *flails* I'm sorry I've been so out of touch! *clings to your ankle*

That's okay, honey, I've just missed you...and then I worried that maybe you hadn't got them and thought I was ignoring you or something...hee...*has PMS-inspired paranoid delusion* I know things have been crazy by you, so I totally understand! I would love to hear form you whenever you have time to. *clings back*

Finally...a reviewer with some sense. I've seen the movie 3 times (yes I'm a dork *snerk*) and each time I love watching his face and NOT because its so beautiful in this movie (which it is) but, because its so expressive and what everyone says is "blankness" is actually him finding himself lost and regretful of the time lost with his dad and he's also left stunned by his failure at work...what the fuck is he suppose to look like? Jim Carey in Ace Ventura??? I wonder if they know subtlety is an artform?

Anyway...thanks so much for sharing an accurate review...also love his description of Kirsten's 'fanged smile'...LOVE it and her!

They're so adorable.

Hugs and kisses from your friendly neighborhood lurker,
Giselle ;o)

I've seen the movie twice and hope to squeeze in a third...dunno if it's still around, though. I wanted to see History of Violence again, too, but arghh...never enough time.

I agree with you totally about Orli's acting, and that's why I was so thrilled to find this review--especially since David Edelstein is not someone who gives praise lightly. It just matched what I always thought...beautiful subtlety. But over-actors are the ones who tend to get praised because I guess they make it easy for people to see what they're doing. Argh.

Kirsten does have lil fangs, doesn't she? Hee...and resolutely refuses to fix them, as some Hollywood types have suggested she do. Good for her, I say. It does give her unique charm.

Glad you enjoyed my "just because" post. :) xoxo

ahhh, that's lovely - thank you Shriney!

p.s. thank you also for sending me the link to last bit of your Hector/Paris; I did send you grovelling f/b but maybe lost in cyberspace; whole thing is beyond excellent (in fact I may start dropping unsubtle greedy hints about this instead of Touching...). Excellent, excellent, excellent
p.p.s would have scurried off to vote for it, but something evil happens with popups when I try to click on Vote. Not to worry, anyone with half a brain cell will be voting :)

Glad you enjoyed!! Just wanted some pretteh/happy in my LJ. :)

P.S. I did get your fb, I'm just always very behind on replies. Thank you SO much, I'm so pleased that you're liking the series and feel so strongly about it. I think I'm the proudest of those stories out of all my fic, though I enjoyed writing all of them, of course. :P

P.P.S. No worries on the voting...it is weird with the pop-ups. The poor dears running the awards seem to have been having various difficulties with various aspects of the voting so while it's nice to win, I know it's all very un-scientific. :P I just like the awards events because it's a chance to get new readers, and to also find some gems that I didn't even know existed. So, win or not, it's still a cool thing!
