I saw E-town yesterday, and despite its flaws I really enjoyed it. It didn't run in my city so we had to go to another town *bashes both of our useless cinemas*

I pretty much agree that their performances were not the problem of this movie. Orlando and Kirsten were quite believable (though I would have told her off on the planeride right away *lol*) and they had very good chemistry. I loved looking at Orlando's eyes to catch the emotion, his performance was very subtle, not shouting it out but drawing you in instead. Anyone who still says the boy can't act needs to be held upside down in a vat of treacle.

The movie could have done with some snappier editing though. Too many subplots and unnecessary elaborations. I <3 Chuck though!

I looooved Chuck! Hee! Yeah, it definitely needed retooling, and I know just what his problem was. He just was too much in love with all of the little pieces and couldn't see his way clear to hacking some of them out. He needed a more objective eye in there guiding him along!

But I did like watching Orli and Kirsten together and the kissing was sooooo good. I think she's been his best match-up so far, though if we ever see the extended scenes from KoH I suspect he and Eva will steam up the screen. :P

I think it stinks that Orli gets raked over the coals so often. All I know is that I enjoy watching him on screen, and I enjoy his subtlety, too--it was nice to see a respected critic see what we see!

*pushes your useless cinemas into vat of treacle* *G*
