With a great deal of difficulty, Susan lowered herself down to the ground. She'd only be able to sit on her knees for a little bit - everything was so uncomfortable these days - but she couldn't stand another moment sitting in the house and this was one of the first sunny days they'd had since March roared in like a lion.

Penny had said that the baby had turned and dropped. Susan noticed the latter the most. Walking had certainly gotten a bit easier, as had breathing, but trips to the loo had increased exponentially.

Susan pulled the grubby gardening gloves over her hands and began to pull bits of dead grass away from the few sprouting green points in the ground. If she remembered correctly, this was where all the daffodils were planted and Susan wanted nothing more than to see flowers after such a grey winter. They certainly weren't growing fast enough in her opinion.

It also kept her mind off of things like werewolves and broken hearts.

Without warning the ache, that had been on and off all day, pinched a lot harder across the front of her stomach than it had been doing all day. The strength of it made Susan drop the trowel and actually yelp out loud. She pressed her hands flat against her belly. Oh that one hurt - still hurt - and she couldn't really breathe properly because ow ow ow. Damn. She really shouldn't have come out here.
