Hello.... anybody,
I am thinking about writing a paper about livejournals and what draws people to have them to write in. So I was just curious if anyone was willing to comment on this entry about just why they personally have a live journal? I'd really appreciate anything... thanks....

well i have my lj basically to keep in touch with my friends, and to see what they are doing in their lives. also i have it to use like a regular journal but those entries are usually kept private.

Roberts a goon, I got mine cus alot of kids in Econ were doing and Coach Giles was so boreing, and sucks...mainlt cus he played sport all the time cus I KICKED HIS ASS IN THE STOCKMARKET GAME!!!
Seriuosley, I had turned 100,000 dollars into 29.7 million by the end of the semester. Legally too.

HEY ROBOB. I use mine for 3 reasons:
1) To see what my friends are up to
2) To write down big events from day to day so in the future I can look back and see what my life was like in the past
3) To write out my thoughts and feelings if I'm in a bad mood because it helps me feel better

I hope I see you over Thanksgiving break or overseas.

robert! i am writing a paper about livejournals too! well, it actually is about how all methods of online communication (e-mail, livejournals, AIM, etc) are resulting in the gradual decline of language and the respect people have for it

Hey Shirley (that is your name, isn't it?),

I have an LJ because...

...I use it to document special/fun/life altering/hysterical/otherwise important events (even if it sounds like I don't take my entries seriously, I really do most of the time...excluding the shamu conversations) because life moves pretty fast (in the words of Ferris Bueller) and if you don't look around every once in a while, you might miss it. I can go back through my LJ and say, "oh yeah, I remember when that happened," and it's interesting for me to read how I've changed since I started my LJ (remember I'm all gung-ho about change right now).

For example, the reason I started my LJ was because I really hated flakes...hang on a second, I STILL HATE FLAKES. OH MY GOSH WHAT AM I DOING RESPONDING TO YOUR LJ??! I HATE YOU!!
