I am glad you are sharing these thoughts on a public forum-acknowledging these thoughts, no matter how terrifying and repulsive, is essential. My sister committed suicide over a year ago leaving behind a son who was not even two years old. Now her husband has isolated him from us. She did not articulate any feelings to anyone- I really wish she had. Her son's life is damaged in ways that cannot be healed. I sincerely send you many good wishes and hope you will emerge from this. I doubt that death contains any more answers than life. All it contains is an absence of feeling of any kind- including seeing your child smile everyday. Your family would be bereft without so too would the world. I thought it important to say because people cannot envision sometimes what would happen after them when they are in the grip of dark thoughts. I wish my sister could see how devastated this has left us- I think it might've changed her mind.

I think as a mother ...one does not even have the luxury to think about depression and all that....
You bought a person into this world and now its your responsibility at least for the next 18 yrs to take care of her...
Just imagine what will happen to her if you were not there..that thought alone will make you banish all these negative thoughts.

I am an anonymous stranger who came across your journal by accident, and read it regularly - a lot of your writing and the way you process your thoughts resonates with me. But this post, more than anything, i needed to hear, it helped me immensely, and couldn't have come at a better time.
