Congratulations! Kavya is a wonderful name and she is gorgeous! It is amazing how just holding the little one will make one forget the toll it took on one's body. I hope you heal soon so there is absolutely nothing to cloud the joy of this time.

Congratulations!

As an experience, holding my tiny, innocent child is filled with an unexpected beauty that I don't have the right words for.

Yup. And this is only the beginning.

Many many hugs, A. I'm so thrilled for you and D and the amazing journey you both are on now. So very thrilled!

Thank you. I hope you know what a big role you've played in my life - in my visualizing myself as a mother, in being able to see my child through seeing yours, and in the faith you have given me in how beautiful this can be. Thank you for all those things and of course your objectivity through my own rambling journey so far.

Already I feel anxious that these days won't last forever. That her tiny amazingness will give way to bigger and only sometimes better experiences. Already I can imagine the heart wrenching of leaving her in a college dorm room knowing that she will begin her own life and separate slowly from us. For as connected as I feel now, I can also visualize how painful it is to love.

This has always been a problem for me. I should make a separate post to begin to understand my complex and painful relationship with love in general.

I love her name . And i so feel your pain - I was there at that stage three years ago - but in the end you forget the intensity of the pain... and cant help but smile every time you see your baby.
Have fun with Kavya and enjoy this stage - it is just the beginning - and it gets better. She is so cute - HUGS to you and her.
