It's been awhile since I last posted here, and I feel a lot has happened.

I finished my second pair of sock, picture coming soon, and I've started my third.  The yarn is self-patterning, and it's blue and grey.  I was getting tired of bright colors so I fond something a little more dull.  Plus I need blue socks anyways.  I may join a sock knitting ( Read more... )

Poll Do I knit a scarf for my mom?

I have to say of all the knitting I've done so far socks are my favorite.  They knit up quickly and don't lay on your lap.  The self-patterning yarn makes it a mystery as to whether a pair will match perfectly or not.  I actually like knitting socks that don't match.  It's fun and random!  I know I've said it before, but I really should start the ( Read more... )

YEAH!  I finally completely finished the never-ending scarf.  I blocked it yesterday, and it's gorgeous.  I can't believe I knit that lace.  It's my Aunt's Christmas present so not all I have to do is send it to Boston.  She saw it while I was still working on it, but I think she'll be amazed at how it turned out after blocking.  I'm just glad that ( Read more... )

This is my first post on Live Journal.  It's not that much different from Xanga.  I love to knit.  Crochet is OK, but I find it harder and slower.  Right not I just finished a lace scarf made with alpaca wool for my aunt.  It's her Christmas present, but at Chritmas it was only half done.  I still have to block it though...so I guess it's not ( Read more... )
