That's awesome! Flying a plane is one of the things I've always wanted to try (along with taking a car around the Indy 500 track), which you can also do.

Aero clubs and co-ops

You may not need $200k to get up in the air at your leisure. Several areo clubs and co-ops exist to make access to single-engine aircraft more achievable for the middle-class. Sure, it's like renting and you never build any equity, but it is nice to only pay a small monthly membership fee and fuel costs to have regular access to a plane.
