[There's quite a lot of space filled with random words and letters. It doesn't make much sense when you read it aloud, but Sorata was using his communicator's translating function to help read English; typing in the letters and words and having them switch to Japanese

There's this nice guy, he leant me his cell phone. It has a built in dictionary! I'm really impressed! It translates English to Japanese in a flash! So fancy! As well, my neighbor speaks both English and Japanese. I'm lucky everyone here is so kind. English really isn't my best subject.

Oh, wow, really? That must be pretty handy! I didn't know phones could do anything like that. Having someone that can read it is really lucky too! I'm not so bad with English, but it's always confusing to read it.
