[There's quite a lot of space filled with random words and letters. It doesn't make much sense when you read it aloud, but Sorata was using his communicator's translating function to help read English; typing in the letters and words and having them switch to Japanese

Ahh, I didn't even think of that! Sponge cake is pretty tasty, too~ I was going to make some for Christmas, actually. I always thought making Christmas cakes was more fun than buying them anyway.

A recipe book, huh? I think if we work together we can translate it!

There's this nice guy, he leant me his cell phone. It has a built in dictionary! I'm really impressed! It translates English to Japanese in a flash! So fancy! As well, my neighbor speaks both English and Japanese. I'm lucky everyone here is so kind. English really isn't my best subject.

Oh, wow, really? That must be pretty handy! I didn't know phones could do anything like that. Having someone that can read it is really lucky too! I'm not so bad with English, but it's always confusing to read it.

Totally, it's almost like something out of a sci-fi movie! I know some people who come from way in the future, they have virtual reality games and everything. It's so weird.

Yeah, virtual reality and fancy computers and things. I've heard of that, too!

But this guy, he's from 2002. That's not far into the future at all! Technology really advances quickly.

It's kind of neat too, I think. My friend Fuu would probably get pretty excited about stuff like that!

Maybe not, but I'd still be over 20 by then, and that's just weird to think about! I can't even use a computer, I can't imagine phones that have dictionaries and stuff in them.

Oh my gosh, no way, not again! Some of my friends will probably be two in 2002. Now I feel like an old lady!! It's 1995 for me! What about you?

1999. Of course, I don't know exactly how old you are even here... I was born in 1982.

It's cool, isn't it? I can picture you as a really respectable looking university student very easily. It's impressive!

Ah, that's not too far off! It's still totally weird to think about though... I guess that makes you 2 years younger, haha!

Maybe a little~ It makes my head hurt trying to think about it too, though! E-ehh? Me, a university student? I don't really know! You seem more like the university type, I think~

Nah, you really have that look. I can see it very easily in my head. There's Umi-chan, looking very pretty, carrying books - because university students do that, right? - and no school uniform, but dressed really respectable... and you're studying something really cool. Right?

I don't think I'll ever go to university, myself.
