What do you think most people do with their lives? They live for something, or they try and find that thing. Otherwise, it's pointless living.

But - it just doesn't seem to be enough. To just stop at "living for." That's just "existing," y'know? I want to be able to do something, to. Do something for them... for anyone. Not just "exist." I just don't know what.

Hmph.
After having completed the sole purpose for my creation, I am searching for a place to finally rest; to obtain and learn what I had been built to deny.

Yet...

...What were you 'built to deny?'

It's not weird, no.

You find new purpose... or you sit around and wait for it to find you. Worked pretty well for me.

Everyone else thinks it's weird.

[...] So what's your new purpose?

I don't, but I guess I don't count for much.

Hm... the one I love. And helping those in need, and all those little things in life that people take for granted. Like the feel of a real bed at night, or a good smoke on a bad day.

So, you think I act my age, or what?

...I see.

[Soft mumbling for a moment.]

I still think it's because you're tall...

Maybe find a new purpose? That's what I'm doing.

It's probably because I'm tall, yeah.

[Brief pause. His tone is careful.] Any luck finding it?

...no, not without Dominic next to me.

But I understand what you said about the battery acid. Ugh.

So it's like... that.

[Almost a laugh.] It's dangerous. Is it just your head, or do you feel sick to your stomach, too?

Is this about..?

You decide what you want.

Everyone keeps saying that, and I know they're right... but my question is, how do you even decide.

...

What do you want, that you couldn't have before? In your other life.

I didn't have a life before.

[...] I wasn't unhappy. Don't think that for a second. But everything... was about training for the End of Days. Then when I was thirteen, and found out about the rest... it was about her. I never had any choice, and I never wanted any choice. So when faced with choice...
