Something Missed...

So yesterday was Versailles' second gig in the UK, and I missed it. Despite what I've heard, it's still one of the biggest regrets of my life. Unlike so many "fans", I really loved Holy Grail and since they played almost the entirety of it live, I'd love to have been there. Furthermore, the meet and greet, however brief, would absolutely have made ( Read more... )

Hm. Now sure i would agree with the overview of the live report. It was very animated and in the left hand side everyone seemed to have a good time i was at the front and experienced very little jostling. The band came to the font frequently also and really seemed to connect with the crowd, their break before the encore was tiny so they were clearly desperate to try and get through their setlist, which was long. The meet and greet was a bit of a whirlwind but there was time to shake and talk briefly with each member. Hizaki clearly felt confident with the crowd as he stage dived, i felt sorry for his beautiful dress! It is a shame you had to miss it but i am sure they will come back. The UK street team's presence was also strongly felt in the que, they were quiet organized and there book was large, leaving space for everyone to right a message and they were very patient traveling all the way down the que. The merch was also surprisingly good, including items such as fans, chain link bracelet, massive belt buckles, glowing roses, tour ( ... )

Well thanks for your view, the merch sounds pretty good. I would have got the tour booklet I think, since I already have the deluxe version of Holy Grail. I hope someone else who did buy it can scan it!

Aw man :( this is so uncool that Soul surely doesn't approve. Neither does Death the Kid btw. :( Oh well. Let's anticipate their quick return together then. And hey, thanks for the setlist. That's awesome. ^^ (Can you believe they played Faith & Decision? I know how apprehensive you are when it comes to that track. ;P)

I think it's great that they essentially played the whole new album, just pissed that they didn't play Thanatos. It was my favourite new track so in that sense it's not so bad I wasn't there. The same thing happened last year, they played most of Jubilee but not Catharsis >.< I'm sure Faith & Decision is actually really great live, I'm told that Love will be born again (before it) was show-off time for Kamijo, while the instruments really came out in the opening of F&D.

Oh, I agree O_O Thanatos is just awesome! Is a bit strange though, that there are only like 3 older tracks in there. I mean, I do understand it at a certain level, but on some other it's just...weird. Yeah. o.o To me, anyway.
