Monday was Columbus Day. I left work at 2 pm and met Julia at the beach. What a beautiful day...we took a walk in the water and jumped in for a few minutes...going in the ocean in October, incredible! Tomorrow is Jesse's 23rd birthday.

saw the Police at Citizens' Bank Park and didn't want to neglect writing about it, another fantastic show in a number of big acts that I've gotten to see in the past couple years, and that had to be one of the best. I love my morning glory vine...each summer it returns without fail. It is growing like crazy this year all around my front porch railing and bushes. It brings a smile to my face each morning with its beautiful periwinkle blue flowers...something so simple can make me feel so happy.

...Memorial Day weekend whippet racing, Julia's 26th birthday, Jesse's college graduation, and an empty nest...2 weeks to the day after witnessing the hatching of the baby robins, we followed them as they took their first wobbly flight, an amazing sight indeed.
