Thanks for reading everybody!

I posted part 3, but it disappeared when I logged back on to the site! Frick! Does anybody know what I did so I don't have to lose my work again?

You're so right. Not just the act(s) of conception and the unwanted pregnancy, but...

Imagine Blackwood going on about not only Holmes' genius being an asset to his heir, but how the detective's want of feelings, etc (traits Holmes might have but is not proud of) make him so much better a vessel than some soft-hearted woman...

Or Watson, forced to treat Holmes for increased fertility and later "allowed" to care for pregnant!Holmes.

I'm not big on mpreg (it just fails to arouse anything in me except a shrug), but the angst potential here...

I hadn't thought of the want-of-feelings part, but OMG yes to the rest.

I may or may not have been thinking about this prompt all day...

It wasn't my plan to stop you thinking about this prompt. Far from it, in fact. :3

Blackwood forces Holmes to carry his child

...on his back, like a papoose.

"As you tried to bring about my ignominy and defeat, so shall you taste yours."

Blackwood's words, a malevolent promise of punishment, rang back to Holmes as the infant slung to his back made a wet, gurgling cough.

And as the sour smell of curdled milk filled his nostrils and an unwelcome slimy wetness slid down his neck and shoulders, Holmes could only philosophically reflect that "ignominy" was a wholly inadequate word.

Is there room in the corner for me?"
