I learned at least one useful thing today

There's a drug that, if taken within 2 hours of exposure, can prevent HIV infection.
So, if you are raped... (or otherwise have contact with suspect blood, breast milk, semen, or vaginal fluid) best not wait, get straight to the emergency room.

And if you have a latex allergy, polyurethane is your friend.

It's just the standard mix of antiretrovirals...HIV replicates very slowly, so a high dose of antiretrovirals within a few days of getting infected can kill it off. It's now standard for people who say they've been raped, as well as people who think they've been exposed to HIV-infected blood.

Has the drug been through all the legal hoops that the FDA, sometimes(And sometimes not) arbitrarily throws upon drugs?

Also, I woke up from sleeping for a short bit. Blargh. I hope you get restful sleep, and I look forward to seeing you in the morrow. And by morrow, I mean today. In the afternoon. Back to sleep.

hehe, though maybe in the summer i'll go to CA to visit my brother and meet Michael's family.

if you want to read my LJ you should definitely create an account because almost everything I write is friends-locked.

are you going to continue your training in America? what are you going to do now?

You have far more unique entries in your "interests" list than I have ever seen on anyone's LJ. I appreciate this :)

Also - *friends you, very belatedly*

also, hi and *hugs!*
