Wow, I am in love with this fic. I really enjoy how gritty and real your Jim is - often, the K/S fics for AOS try to calm Jim down, make him more mature and level-headed like TOS!Kirk. This one doesn't, and I love you for that. I likes me my AOS!Jim to be effed-up by his effed-up life, and you've accomplished that very well without being over-the-top about it. Nicely done indeed. <3

Wow. This is this without a doubt the BEST character study fic of Jim Kirk I've ever read. I kinda want to draw little pink hearts all over it, but I'm gonna settle for quoting it back to you:
He can get into bar fights and come out with an offer to join Starfleet. He can doze through his classes and still get top grades. He can sleep with half the campus and still be on good terms with everyone, even the boyfriends. He can sometimes even persuade the boyfriend to join in. He can beat the unbeatable Kobayashi Maru exam. He can cheat without getting expelled. Instead, he becomes the youngest Starfleet captain in history.I read this and thought "Yes. That is my Jim Kirk.
