The word (from a few days ago) is that LJ is adamantly refusing try to fix the crossposting problem (the gist is that some DW user's crossposting was using the wrong password, so LJ blocked DW entirely; all they need to do to fix the issue is re-whitelist DW), so DW has disabled crossposting to LJ - if they left it on, it would just continue to

You can also post on LJ and then use the button on DW for importing content from LJ. It will import the entries with tags and comments even, if there are any.
I haven't done it in a while though, I keep forgetting. I only use it as a backup.

I copy-paste (and likely still will), but I always have links in my summaries. But gosh knows it has been ages since I have ficced (and I wonder if I ever will again, as my Musie is awful!) but if I do, I might just stick to linking instead of copy-pasting out of sheer laziness at times. :D
