AU - Professor!verse (aka Courtney, get off the V/K kick already).

He had been fooling himself that such a bright star would not fade out of his life. His muse eventually wanes in interest and collectors of the Venus series fade away. As the years pass, commentators and critics lament his talent, once so incredible, now predictable and desperate. After losing his tenure at the university, his last gallery show was especially brutal. Friends tell him to find a new subject, to move on, but he steadfastly refuses. Venus stands for all he once had. As he pulls the familiar chisel from his tools, he thinks maybe this time she'll see, maybe this time she'll reach out and realize he never stopped loving her.

AU to Etoile Rouge OH GOD IS THIS AU because really, it mentions a ship that I despise. R/J, R/Kaidou. Eeeurgh. So, yeah, warnings for squicky ship of squicky-ness, and some language. PG13 ( ... )

Warning: Family breakup
A/N: This is actually a little backstory for another story I've started writing. I hope you'll soon see more of Karl and his friends who sometimes mistake themselves for someone else, someone scary..."You have to go. This man is dangerous ( ... )

Ooooh, I like this. Him thinking Kunzite is a figment of his imagination, a symptom of his disease and wanting to send his family to safety, even if it means losing them forever... an excellent Angsty April submission!

"We were yours, Endymion," he said hoarsely, "Yours to command, yours to train - yours to love. It was all we wanted from you. For twenty years, we stood by your side. We were raised with you." His sword was out, but the tip was on the ground as he looked imploringly up at his former commander, his former friend. "We never knew our parents. We were chosen from birth to be your companions. It was our noble privilege. It was our right. Our duty. And we were raised to consider it an honor. We were more than just your companions, we were once your brothers. Your family was ours. AND YOU TURNED YOUR BACK ON US!" He screamed the last, his voice raw and ragged, tears of rage pouring down his face; the once emotionless general full of dark energy that opened those floodgates, letting loose all he'd once held in ( ... )

Wait, I didn't comment on this? I love it! And I don't even think Kunzite is so far from the truth here.
This is manga or anime Kunzite? If he is, it proves that he and PGSM Kunzite are the very same guy ;)

First of all, that death. Oh my gosh, it hurt! He just went straight for Endymion, no hesitation, killing him even though he wouldn't put up a fight! But there was that last line which just made it all worse. You don't see it, but you know, Serenity is terrified.

What I love most about it, though is this line: Yours to command, yours to train - yours to love.

It really puts the onus on Endymion, because of his faults, they did not turn out the way they were supposed to, like he was a parent.

So very, very angsty.

Ah, but there was hesitation...he didn't want to kill Endymion unless he'd fight back, at first. Endymion goaded him into doing it, because Endymion wouldn't fight him, hoping that someday in the future, Kunzite would see it for what it had been - an act of love and sacrifice on Endymion's part. *tears up* I have lots of feels about this one.

But yes, it was definitely putting the blame straight on Endymion's doorstep - I was channeling PGSM Kunzite here, I think, with his rage at Endymion, and I might use this moment for a WIP, because I really do love it.

And yes - the last line. Chills up and down my spine.

SO glad you liked!
