Both my doublet and my boots arrived today.

Today shall be known henceforth as Leather Day.

I was so jazzed about having my tunic all but done and most of it by myself...and then I tried it on and found it was tighter than I wanted it to be. Dammit. I should have gone with my original instinct and done it as XL instead of L. Now I have to buy another pattern and start over from scratch. The cable was out for most of the day today, including my broadband connection. I spent most of the day napping, but not before buying myself a plastic rectangle.

Well, the bad news is that the CD player in my car crapped out on the way home from Court tonight. The radio still works, but it won't play CDs. Just one more thing to break down recently. At least I'm going to be taking the car in for service soon. I thought our tools weren't supposed to rise up against us until 2019 or something. Urgh ( Read more... )

I wore my great kilt to Court last night. It was the first time that I had worn it, and it was actually pretty comfortable except for the over-the-shoulder part, which always felt like it was about to slip off. I should have it in time for next Court (two weeks from today).

Depending on how much of a pain it is to put on, I might order this doublet to go with it.

So much for me never buying another piece of garb....
