User shiren_yuuki referenced to your post from Translation: Favourite Artist Ranking 2010 saying: [...] d me, so sorry! I've translated all Arashi's part and I found them to be interesting! We can hear what the Japanese think of Arashi! Its amazing how out of soo many artists Arashi ranked 1st, congrats to our boys!! <33 I've also put up all the other rankings together~ XXDD Click here! ~ [...]
I know right? 8'D riida just amuses me. Haha ♥ Also I've noticed arashi seems to be the most popular from johnnys ;o or maybe i just spend too much time paying attention to them lately and not notice the other johnnys XD;
Arashi never lets us down huh. :DD I'm so happy for them!!
But doesn't anyone else wonder... What happened to the other Johnny's? >< Out of ALL the rankings, Arashi is the only one dominating the charts. I'm sure the others have their own fanbase, but this is kinda worrying.
I'm proud of them too! Ohh about that, my sis asked me about it too and I think I've read a few people asking bout it too! In my opinion, it is nothing to worry about ^.~ This is a "Favourite Artist Ranking" after all, and not ALL artists can be everyone's favourite. But the main point is, usually idols (Arashi, AKB48) don't appear in these rankings at all, cause, well they're idols! Arashi, is well a different case now, they're causing storm all over Japan! ♥ Which is why its amazing they're up there, and what's more, they placed 1st! XDD Don't worry, Johnny's is still Johnny's, and they're always and still all over Japan! <3
Hmm that's true! I guess Arashi is more than just "idols" nowadays. They're practically everywhere and their fans (like us 8D) conquer the world~ But I don't think SMAP is an idol group anymore, lol. Theoratically yes, but... >< And music-wise, TOKIO is pretty much amazing too but they're not there. *sigh* With all the articles saying that Johnny's is losing their thing, this is kinda like )):
Yup, Arashi is not just your everyday idol anymore! <3 Though being an idol is not a bad thing really XDD As for SMAP and TOKIO, I guess everyone's opinion differ for every individual~ Lol its okay, don't be influenced by non-fact-based articles, those articles are just trying to gain more interest and readers. Basically not just Johnnys', all artists in Japan have lost quite a number of sales due to economy slump in the recent years. BUT, that doesn't mean they lost their popularity/ fame/ etc., for example, Ayumi, her sales dropped drastically compared to the older days (its a normal thing) but she's still considered the Queen of J-Pop no matter where she goes. Same goes to SMAP, they're still recognized as one of Japan's icon! ♥ And TOKIO is still invited to Kouhaku ^^
Having said that, artists (just like everyone else) come and go, so there will definitely be one day when they leave the entertainment world, but the artists will always stay in our heart right? ♥ So, don't worry about it!! XDDD
