I hope I'm back!
Sorry not to be leaving many comments recently, or posting chatty musings. My internet access has been strangely intermittent, shutting down pages at random, and it's been frustrating. This morning everything seems fairly stable (fingers and paws crossed!) so I thought I'd leap in and say hello and try to read posts I've missed.
I strained my back doing some heavy lifting I should NOT have been doing, so I've been moving slowly and trying to take it easy. No leaves will be raked by me this year! Otherwise, things are going well. December is going to be busy with six doctor appointments for Shiremom (her first cataracts surgery is on the 14th) and celebrating her 86th birthday on the 19th. She's very nervous about the surgeries, as she hasn't been in the hospital since 1956 when she gave birth to me! She may have vision, hearing, and some memory issues now in her 80s, but overall she's been miraculously healthy over the course of her life.
Time to get breakfast started and take Ms. Pip on her second walkie of the day, so here are two goodies before I dash off:

And... here's what I discovered yesterday morning when I came to make my bed.
"You shall not pass!"
