This is an absolutely wonderful essay. I've been looking at the Avatar essays posted here, approaching with the viewpoint of "Convince me. Show me why this ship has a valid place in the fandom." and haven't had a lot of luck. With this essay . . . I started out liking Aang/Katara, but you made me love it all over again.

This was wonderful and beautiful. You did a superb job of representing this rather quiet fanbase and gave them every reason to be proud you stood up to be their voice. My only complaint is that I wanted to continue reading!
