I'd been bringing this up to people over the past few months, while hanging out, and I'm surprised at how few of you had actually heard the news. Since the network is about to launch in a few days, I thought I'd finally get around to explaining it to folks. Damn right. Although I'll still prolly never watch it. Even despite my love for Booker, Finley, and Regal. RAW will always be the vastly superior show. That or ECW, another one I can't watch with no cable :P

This is what confuses me. When I'm on the El (and everywhere else) I always see those "Free to be _____" ads. America's next top model is "Free to be fierce" with a pic of Tyra Banks, "Free to be Super" for Smallville, "Free to be girly" for Gilmore girls ( ... )

They actually make a super-deluxe Buffy boxset now, which has the entire series in one big set (and then some bonus discs with exclusive content). I think it's like $199.99 at Best Buy, which is a great deal compared to buying all seven of the seasons separately (which tend to run fifty bucks or so).

As for The CW, yeah, it's the merging of WB and UPN. They kept the top shows from each channel (and/or the ones that had the youthful image) and combined them together. So we still get everyone's favorites like Smallville, Top Model, etc. They even brought back 7th Heaven for another season. That show refuses to die! ^_^
