Kadaj rushed into the bedroom he shared with Yunalesca, concern written on his face as he sped to her side, kneeling down and taking her hand in his own.

"Beloved... everything's going to be okay..."

He smiled gently, a tear forming in one of his eyes.

"You never told me we were having twins..."

Yunalesca tried to breath as the searing pain shot right through her. The stigma flared, all of JENOVA's cells reacting to the children's movements within her. She squeezed his hand as another contraction happened.

"... I didn't want to alarm you."

"Ixion and Shiva." She murmured, good summons and strong fayth. "They are going to be quite the pair."

"Aren't they just?" He grinned and reached out his other hand to touch Shiva, seeing for the first time the child who had spoken in his mind for such a long time.

Shiva closed her eyes and yawned slightly. Yunalesca smiled widely, "... we should get them bathed."

"Yeah... they're... all sticky." For the first time, he frowned, and only just seemed to become aware of the blood caked down his leathers. "Wait here... I'll go and get some water."
