Really. And I don't even think Ash is a Stu. For an anime with a pretty goddamn simple shounen premise, they've been damn good about making their main character more or less realistic in the sense that he's not going to win every major competition he competes in. Complaining about winning gym badges is just a waste of time since that's only following in line with what you do in the games anyway... bah.

Gyah, I hate when people say shit like that. And completely mistake people's motives for liking a character! Like there's a page on tvtropes that claims that people like Cyrus for his looks and disregard his actions.

HIS LOOKS? He looks like a zombie scarecrow! And I sure haven't met a Cyrus fan who disregards his actions! Hell, most of us enjoyed beating the living crap out of him because, let's face it, he deserved it. We just felt sorry for the poor bastard.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but the Season 6 Digimon human cast looks like they dipped into Pokemon/Ace Attorney/Yu-gi-oh/etc. territory (leaving really the monsters consistent with the Digimon look) |D;;
