Saw some more movies...

Azumi
Samurai-flick about a girl who swings a mean sword. It was pretty good, I think....although some parts were awful and made me laugh out loud. It was based on a manga, and they used some slow-mo effects to replicate that comic-book feel....which I think worked out nicely.

DevilmanAnother one based on a comic-book... ( Read more... )

Why do you want to see The Incredibles? It's just another cheesey Disney/Pixar movie about a family with superpowers. Powers that are blatantly ripped off, old, and overused I might add. And the main bad guy looks like a douche bag.

Those two movies sound cool, though. wish I could see them...

Yeah, Azumi and Devilman were fun...the Azumi DVD has been out for a while so hopefully they'll make an international version (it's pretty big...they even made an action figure of the main girl). There's a sequel coming out too, and Chiaki is in it!!

You like it? It's Chise... the girl from my Saikano manga that I've been reading pretty avidly now. I wanted you to find her toys, but they don't make any...

Hee hee hee, I know, G.Love is going to be here on the 11th...I saw it on MTV-Japan! I told Jon to tell you but I guess he forgot. I was really thinking about seeing him but I spent waaaaaaaay too much money in Tokyo for Fall Break and I just can't afford the tickets (6000yen)... =/ Ah well...

But did you know there is a G.Love restaurant here? They serve posh j-pizza and stuff. I may not make it to his concert but I can make it to his restaurant~!!

Heh, I think Versus is still better than Azumi. You should definitely see Casshern if you liked Devilman!

hey hon, sorry I have been really out of it lately, I got the flu from a friend I was taking care off ( I got bronchitis 2 weeks earlier taking care of another friend) so I'm just burnt out right now. Anyway, I hope everything is going well over there. I saw Ju-On the other day which apparently came out in japan 10 years ago. You should hceck it out if you haven't ever, it is one of the scariest movies I have ever seen.

P.S. Bush won the election.
P.P.S. :*(

Yeah, I heard about Bush. =/ *sigh* Looks like I'll be moving to Canada... =P

Yeah, I haven't seen Ju-On yet but I plan to. Have you seen The Grudge yet? I dunno if it's still in theatres over there (it believe it came out a month ago). It's a remake of Ju-On starring Sarah Michelle Gellar but it has the same Japanese director.
