Saw some more movies...
Azumi
Samurai-flick about a girl who swings a mean sword. It was pretty good, I think....although some parts were awful and made me laugh out loud. It was based on a manga, and they used some slow-mo effects to replicate that comic-book feel....which I think worked out nicely.
Devilman
Another one based on a comic-book...Demonds take over the world and all that. It was very visually entertaining, with some nice CG and cute boys. Also during the fight scenes they would sometimes freeze frame and turn it into a comic book panel for a split-second and the effect was really cool. There was a lot more violence than I'd expected...the ending was a bit of a surprise as well.
