So, I'm sitting at work, and I've got this whole well-reasoned, totally deep discussion of Torchwood and torture and terrorism and morality and fandom and all that, half-written in Wordpad. And then the power goes out. And doesn't come back on for an hour and a half

Heheh, I don't know which one's funnier! That totally gives me newfound respect for Jerry O'Connell (which the later series of Sliders had kind of... ruined). Heh.
