Well, I'm back home from the hospital and just wanted to share an update. I did, indeed, have a cancerous tumor (about six pounds worth apparently) on my right ovary. But the doctor is fairly certain that it was self-contained, so my prognosis is very good. Now, I'm on the long road to recovery and am fairly optimistic that the worst is behind me.

I don't know if anyone still has me on their friends' list, but if you do, Monday, I'm having a complete hysterectomy and to be checked for ovarian cancer. If you are so inclined, think good thoughts for me. Thanks. : )

A friend of mine was just on an LJ site for dogs and someone was bragging about how she was on Chapter 12 of the photocopied "Harry Potter" book. After feeling sorry for this person that her own life is so pathetic that she needs to feel superior to others by being "first"--a bit like the ego trip a six-year-old gets when the teacher lets her lead ( Read more... )
